YEREVAN, May 20. /ARKA/. An earthquake occurred on Tuesday 8 km southeast of the village of Bavra in the Shirak region, in the border area of Armenia and Georgia.
According to the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the earthquake occurred at 10:11 local time (06:11 GMT). The depth of the source is 10 km, the magnitude is 2.9. The strength of the tremors in the epicentral zone was 4 points.
The earthquake was felt in the villages of Bavra, Saragyukh and Ashotsk in the Shirak region with a strength of 2-3 points. -0-
