From dream to goal (VIDEO)
YEREVAN, August 31. /ARKA/. The children from SOS Children's Villages in Kotayk province are spending their vacations at a camp in Dilijan. Their life here is filled with many team games, which are not hindered even by the sun and heat.
In SOS Children's Villages children receive care, upbringing and education like in a family. The beneficiaries are children who are socially disadvantaged or are in a difficult life situation.
The guest of the campers was Acba Bank, a partner of the charity foundation SOS-Children's Villages, with the support of which the camp was organized. The bank's employees prepared a rich program for the children, shared their own experience and inspired the children to realize a seemingly unfulfilled dream.
"We tried to make that day as interesting for the children as possible. We planned interactive and team games for them, we also talked, tried to convey to them the idea that a dream should not remain a dream, but become a goal and that one should take steps to achieve it. Together with the children we tried to plan what steps they should take. We prepared special papers for the children to write their dreams on and fix them on the wall so that they remember their dream every day and work every day to achieve it," said Armine Tumanyan, Head of Non-Financial Services Group at Acba Bank.
Acba Bank, a partner of SOS-Children's Villages, implemented this program with the support of "CHARITY" Visa cardholders.
Back in 2012, for the first time in Armenia, the bank issued charitable Visa "CHARITY" cards jointly with Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. As part of that program, the bank transfers 0.1% of the amount of all payment transactions made with the "BARERAR" Visa card from its profit, as well as 50% of the service fee to the special account of the Fund. Cardholders simply make transactions, the profit from which the bank at its own expense directs to the charity.
Cooperation of Acba Bank with SOS-Children's Villages has a history of more than 5 years.
