Hayastan Fund to build rural and urban community centers

In 2012 the All-Armenian Hayastan Fund will implement a program designed to build community centers in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, its executive director, Ara Vardanyan, said today.

YEREVAN, May 30. /ARKA/. In 2012 the All-Armenian Hayastan Fund will implement a program designed to build community centers in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, its executive director, Ara Vardanyan, said today. 

He said in rural communities the centers will house the village administration, a medical center, a library, a gym, a special room for events and A computer room. 

“We are still considering the final version of these centers," he said.

Vardanyan said that in 2011 the Fund built water supply systems for three towns and 12 villages in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
"In some villages water supply projects are not over yet and we plan to increase the number of villages in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, for which we have built systems to 20," he said.

The All-Armenian Fund Hayastan was established in 1992 and its main task is to implement national projects, infrastructure development in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.  Over the 20 years since its inception it has implemented various projects worth $235 million. It built 476 km long roads, 281 km long water pipelines and water mains, 144 km long gas pipelines, 230 schools and kindergartens, 424 houses and apartments, 40 hospitals and health centers, 24 sports and cultural center. -0-
