Lists of applicants enrolled in Armenia’s state-owned universities to be unveiled on July 15

Lists of the applicants enrolled in Armenia’s state-owned universities will be released to public on July 15, Robert Sukiasyan, the secretary of the National Enrolment Board, said Wednesday at the board’s session presided by Levon Mkrtchyan, Armenian education and sciences minister.

YEREVAN, July 13. /ARKA/. Lists of the applicants enrolled in Armenia’s state-owned universities will be released to public on July 15, Robert Sukiasyan, the secretary of the National Enrolment Board, said Wednesday at the board’s session presided by Levon Mkrtchyan, Armenian education and sciences minister.

Sukiasyan also presented general priorities in selecting students which will have their studying in universities paid from the government budget.

In particular, speaking about students who enjoys preferences, he said that 27 children of servicemen fallen when defending their homeland and those of disabled people who became disabled while performing compulsory military service, 23 children deprived of parental care and 40 people with disabilities from childhood and students with the 1st and the 2nd disability degrees will study in universities at the account of the government.   

Sixteen winners of European and world championships and 14 winners of international school Olympiads will have their lessons in universities paid from the government budget as well. 

There is also an opportunity of free education for one representative of Yezid ethnic minority.  

The second round of the unified state exams was conducted on July 2 to 8. 

At the first round that was held from June 3 to 24, 1,117 of 11,375 applicants did not come for exams. --0---
