YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. In the second half of April, a Mediterranean cyclone will move into Armenia, bringing more frequent rains across the country, according to Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Armenian Hydrometeorological Center, during a press conference.

"No serious cyclones are forecast for Armenia until April 8. After that, the country will be in the zone of influence of a weak cyclone, which will mainly manifest in the evening and night hours. Overall, the weather will mostly remain dry throughout the country," Surenyan said.

According to him, from April 5 to 8, short-term rains with thunderstorms are expected in some regions of Armenia, and cyclonic activity will begin to develop starting April 9.

"After that, Armenia will be under the influence of a medium-strength cyclone, which will move in from the Mediterranean Sea. As a result, from April 9 to 13, rain will occur intermittently across the republic, with thunderstorms in some areas," Surenyan noted.

He also stated that no cold air masses from northern latitudes are expected to penetrate Armenia, nor will there be any temperature drops over the next 10 days.
