YEREVAN, Dec. 27. /ARKA/. A total of 1,626,738 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in Armenia as of December 26, 2021, Armenia’s Health Ministry said today.

It said some 934,028 people received the first dose of the vaccine and 692,082 people received both doses. Also, more than 500 people have received also the third booster shot. Armenia’s population is about 3 million.

Last week the Armenian government allocated 1.2 bn drams to the Ministry of Health for purchasing 200 thousand doses of Pfizer vaccine. New doses of the drug will be delivered to Armenia by the end of this year.

In Armenia, 5 types of Covid-19 vaccines are used now- CoronaVac and Sinopharm (China), AstraZeneka (Britain, Sweden), Sputnik V (Russia) and Spikevax (Moderna, USA). Vaccinations are free for people over 18 years old, including foreigners.-0-
