New rules to be introduced in Yerevan for peddling trade in public areas

The organization of peddling trade in public areas that are in state or communal ownership (streets, squares, parks, etc.) in Yerevan will be carried out in accordance with certain requirements and rules, the city council decided Tuesday at its meeting.
YEREVAN, September 9. /ARKA/. The organization of peddling trade in public areas that are in state or communal ownership (streets, squares, parks, etc.) in Yerevan will be carried out in accordance with certain requirements and rules, the city council decided Tuesday at its meeting.
According to the municipality’s press service, the meeting also identified the types of goods and permitted places for organizing peddling trade.
According to the decision, the peddling trade should be carried out exclusively from hand to hand, without displaying goods for sale on land. The use of stands or other items placed on the ground will not be permitted for the sale or display of goods. The use of strollers or other mobile devices will be prohibited as well.
The seller must be able to provide the buyer with the documents required by law (cash register receipt, invoice, etc.) confirming the sale of the goods.
This decision comes into force on January 1, 2021. -0-
