New trolleybuses for Yerevan will soon arrive in Armenia’s capital

YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. A batch of new trolleybuses acquired by the Yerevan Municipality are on their way to Yerevan, Ashot Sargsyan, a member of the My Step faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders (legislative assembly), said on Monday.
"The new trolleybuses, loaded onto trucks, will soon arrive in Yerevan," Sargsyan said in a Facebook post.
The trolleybuses were stuck at the Upper Lars checkpoint (on the Russian-Georgian border) for months because of their size, the municipality said earlier.
Armenian authorities were waiting for permission to transport them through the territory of Georgia.
Earlier, the municipality said 165 new buses and 30 new trolleybuses will be added to Yerevan’s public transportation fleet by the end of the year. -0-
