Nobel laureates to give lectures in Yerevan

YEREVAN, August 27. /ARKA/. Nobel Prize Laureate in Medicine and Physiology Timothy Hunt and Nobel Laureate in Chemistry Martin Chalfie will give lectures in Yerevan, November 2-6, Youth Foundation of Armenia reports.

The lectures will be given within the project initiated by the Armenian Youth Foundation and the Association of Young Biologists.

Both scientists are focusing on researching cancer causes.

“The lectures are mainly for students and scientists involved in studying biomedicine, molecular biology and some relevant sciences,” according to the source.

The program aims for improving awareness of young specialists about the accomplishments of modern biomedicine and molecular biology. The program will also present the scientific potential of Armenia to international scientific community.—0-
