As of July 26, some 152,529 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in Armenia since the start of the vaccination campaign on April 13, the Ministry of Health reported.

YEREVAN, July 26. /ARKA/. As of July 26, some 152,529 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered in Armenia since the start of the vaccination campaign on April 13, the Ministry of Health reported.

It said some 108,674 people received the first dose of the vaccine, and 43,855 people received both. Vaccination against Covid-19 in Armenia is not mandatory.

Armenian health authorities use three types of vaccines - AstraZeneka, Sputnik-V and CoronaVac. Citizens can get the jabs at primary health care organizations (polyclinics) every day of the week including Saturdays and Sundays.

One should call their preferred polyclinic in advance, regardless of the place of registration and make an appointment for vaccination Foreign citizens can also be vaccinated.

In addition to polyclinics, one can get vaccinated against Covid-19 at mobile vaccination points in Yerevan (on Northern Avenue, Russia Mall, Mega Mall, Dalma Mall, Cascade complex) and in the regions of Armenia - in the cities of Gyumri, Vanadzor and Kapan.

On July 9, the government of Armenia extended the coronavirus quarantine for another six months until December 20, 2021.

The nationwide quarantine was first imposed on September 11, 2020 replacing the state of emergency that was declared on March 16 to stop the spread of coronavirus. -0-
