YEREVAN, September 13. /ARKA/. Armenian Emergency Minister Feliks Tsolakyan has met with representatives of the regional office of General Electric Aviation Company in Ukraine and high-ranking officials of the U.S. Commerce Chamber in Armenia (AmCham), the press office of the ministry reported on Friday.

The visit of the delegation was aimed at presenting L410 aircraft with turbine engine and discussing room for its usage in Armenia.

Milan Slapak, President & CEO Czech Republic and Slovakia at General Electric Aviation, presenting technical characteristics of L410 to the Armenian emergency minister, said that it has the biggest passenger cabin among the airplanes of this category - it can have 19 passengers aboard.

The aircraft can land on a short unpaved runway and in mountainous terrain.

These aircrafts are usually used for carrying passengers, but they are also applied in cargo-carrying and sanitary aviation as well as for other purposes.

Tsolakyan said that the emergency ministry needs small aviation. Aircrafts are needed to fight fires and evacuation of people.

L-410 Turbolet is a multi-purpose two-engine airplane developed by the Czech Republic's Let Kunovice plant. --0---
