YEREVAN, August 16. /ARKA/. Temperatures across Armenia are expected to rise by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius on August 16-20 with no precipitation expected, the National Weather Service reported.

It said the daytime temperatures will rise to 39-41 degrees in the Ararat, Aragatsotn, Vayots Dzor and Syunik provinces and in the capital Yerevan due to the continuing penetration of tropical air flows from Iran.

"Due to the high temperature background and lack of precipitation a high level of fire danger is expected these days in the foothills and valleys," forecasters warned.

The intensity of ultraviolet radiation on these days will be higher than normal. It is recommended that people should not leave their homes from 11:00 to 17:00 and avoid direct sunlight. --0-
