Temperatures in parts of Armenia to surge to 42 degrees Celsius

The temperatures in the Ararat Valley, on the foothills of Aragatsotn Mountain, in Vayots Dzor province and in the Armenian capital Yerevan will surge to 39-42 degrees Celsius on July 12-17 afternoons.

YEREVAN, July 12. /ARKA/. The temperatures in the Ararat Valley, on the foothills of Aragatsotn Mountain, in Vayots Dzor province and in the Armenian capital Yerevan will surge to 39-42 degrees Celsius on July 12-17 afternoons.
Armenian National Weather Service said today the country is still being affected by tropical heat waves coming from the Arabian Peninsula.
It said July 13-17, the weather in the capital and the regions is expected to be without precipitation and the wind is expected to strengthen to 17-20 meters per second in the evening hours.
Temperatures are expected to rise by 2-4 degrees on July 14-16. -0-
