Torosyan: Armenia expected to receive 200 coronavirus-detecting tests from WHO

YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. Members of the interdepartmental committee, set up for coordinating the measures being taken to ward off coronavirus, gathered Tuesday in Yerevan, the press service of the Vice Premier Tigran Avinyan's office reports.
The vice-premier, who is the head of the committee, said before the meeting that the current situation was planned to be discussed and further steps outlined at the meeting.
Foreign Minister Zograb Mnatsakanyan presented the steps taken by the Armenian embassy in China, and Health Minister Arsen Torosyan, for his part, described the measures the ministry has taken to enhance public awareness of the virus. He also said other 200 coronavirus-detecting tests are expected to be received soon.from the World Health Organization.
On February 2, Armenia has received the first tests for detecting 2019n-CoV.
According to the latest reports, 13,522 people in China have already got the pneumonia caused by the new coronavirus, which has killed more than 414 of them. -0---
