Transparency International releases 2014 corruption rankings, Armenia still 94th

Armenia is again the 94th in Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index (CPI) for 2014, having scored 37 compared to 36 last year.

YEREVAN, December 3. /ARKA/. Armenia is again the 94th in Transparency International’s Corruption Perception Index (CPI) for 2014, having scored 37 compared to 36 last year.
The 2014 corruption perceptions index measures the perceived levels of public sector corruption in 175 countries and territories. A country or territory’s score indicates the perceived level of public sector corruption on a scale of 0 (highly corrupt) to 100 (very clean).
According to CPI, Armenia shares the 94th position with Columbia, Egypt, Gabon, Liberia and Panama.
Other countries in the region ranked as follows: Georgia 50th (the score is 52), Turkey 64th (45), Azerbaijan 126th (29), Iran 136th (27) and Russia 136th (27).
The top-ranked nations are Denmark (92), New Zealand (91) and Finland (89).
The bottom-ranked are North Korea having scored 8, Somali (8) and Sudan (11). –0--
