Armenia’s Weather Service has predicted a new round of heat across the country saying the air temperature will increase by 3-4 degrees Celsius on August 16-17, and drop by 2-4 degrees on August 19.
YEREVAN, August 15. / ARKA /. Armenia’s Weather Service has predicted a new round of heat across the country saying the air temperature will increase by 3-4 degrees Celsius on August 16-17, and drop by 2-4 degrees on August 19.
August 17-18 are said to be the hottest days. In the afternoon in Ararat and Armavir regions, as well as in the foothills of Vayots Dzor and in the capital city Yerevan the temperature will reach 36-38 degrees.
Rains and thunderstorms, and hailstorms in some areas are predicted for August 15 and August 18-19 at night hours and in the afternoon. On August 16-17, no precipitation is expected.
The wind will be from the south-west blowing at the speed of 5-10 meters per second, while gusts can reach 19-24 meters per second. -0-
