Winners of The Best Teacher and The Best Mentor of 2014 contests in Armenia will be awarded cars, David Harutyunyan, the head of the government’s administration, said on Thursday.
YEREVAN, August 28. /ARKA/. Winners of The Best Teacher and The Best Mentor of 2014 contests in Armenia will be awarded cars, David Harutyunyan, the head of the government’s administration, said on Thursday.
“This is the 14th consecutive year the government awards cars to winners of these competitions on the World Teacher’s Day that is marked on the first Sunday of October,” he said.
Harutyunyan proposed to allocate AMD 12.7 million in 2014 for this purpose to maintain this tradition.
The World Teacher’s Day is marked every year in more than 100 countries in accordance with UNESCO’s 1994 decision.
This is a professional holiday of all teachers, mentors and other education workers. ($1 – AMD 410.20). --0----
