Yerevan City Hall proposes changes to public transport fares

YEREVAN, January 22. /ARКА/. Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced today some changes to public transport ticket packages.
"We have recently carefully studied your feedback and suggestions regarding the new prices for ticket packages. The possibility of revising the logic of applying new prices will be discussed at the upcoming meeting of the Council of Elders on February 11," Avinyan said in a Facebook post.
According to him, the following amendments will be proposed:
* 300 drams - 180-minute usage period instead of the current 90 minutes.
* 900 drams - a daily package for an unlimited number of trips, instead of the current limit of 8 trips.
* 10 trips - for 2,000 drams for 45 days, instead of the current 2,200 drams for 30 days.
* 7 days - for 5,000 drams: unlimited trips instead of the current maximum of 30 trips.
Avinyan also reminded that the following packages are in effect from January 1:
* 30 days - for 9,000 drams (unlimited trips)
* 90 days - for 24,000 drams (unlimited trips)
* 365 days - 90,000 drams (unlimited trips)
He added that other changes and additions will be announced at the same meeting of the Council of Elders, which will "make the system more convenient and efficient for Yerevan residents."
In particular, according to him, the possibility of changing the conditions of a single-trip ticket is being discussed. -0-
