Yerevan municipality used about 200 tons salt on snow removal in Yerevan

Yerevan city authorities used about 190 tons of salt and around 440 cubic meters of sand to accelerate snow melting on Yerevan streets February 8 night, Artur Gevorkyan, an official from Yerevan municipality public relations department, told ARKA.
YEREVAN, February 8, /ARKA/. Yerevan city authorities used about 190 tons of salt and around 440 cubic meters of sand to accelerate snow melting on Yerevan streets February 8 night, Artur Gevorkyan, an official from Yerevan municipality public relations department, told ARKA. He said the City Hall used 163 special vehicles for these measures.
“If you noticed, the snow cleaning this year is quite different from previous years. From now on the appropriate City Hall structures coordinate their actions in accordance with the Armenian Weather service forecasts”, he said.
He said the City Hall involved not only communal services but also construction companies, which provided transport means for snow removal. -0-
