Yerevan subway closed until April 12 as part of coronavirus-prompted restrictions

Yerevan Subway is closed until April 12, the press office of the subway reported on Wednesday. Restrictions on free movement and certain types of economic activity in Armenia in a state of emergency (previously introduced for the period between March 24 and March 31) were extended until April 12 inclusively.

Restrictions on free movement and certain types of economic activity in Armenia in a state of emergency (previously introduced for the period between March 24 and March 31) were extended until April 12 inclusively.
According to the new decision, in particular, the operation of public transport with the exception of railway transport is terminated. Taxis are allowed.
The Armenian government has declared a state of emergency in the country from March 16 to April 14 in a bid to prevent the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19.
There are 571 confirmed cases of infection with COVID 19 in Armenia as of April 1. There are 31 cured people and three dead patients in the country. Some 2,704 people have been tested negative for the coronavirus. -0---
