Armenia’s men’s and women’s national chess team fail to win medals at Europe’s championship

Armenia’s men’s and women’s national chess team finished outside top three at European Team Championships in Poland’s Warsaw. Armenia’s men’s team placed fourth among 38 teams after drawing with counterparts from Azerbaijan in the ninth and final round of the competition.

Armenia’s men’s team placed fourth among 38 teams after drawing with counterparts from Azerbaijan in the ninth and final round of the competition.
Men's national teams of Armenia, Russia and France scored 13 points each, however, the French came in second due to additional factors, and the Russians came in third. Azerbaijani team scored 14 points to become European chess champion.
With 12 points Armenian women's team came in fifth. Ukraine’s women’s team won the title scoring 15 points. Russians and Poles scored 14 points coming second and third. Georgians were fourth. .-0-
