Gabriel Ghazaryan appointed as minister of sports and youth affairs

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has signed today a decree appointing Gabriel Ghazaryan as Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, the presidential press service reported.

YEREVAN, October 10. /ARKA/. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian has signed today a decree appointing Gabriel Ghazaryan as Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, the presidential press service reported.
Before this appointment Gabriel Ghazaryan served as Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs. He had held the job of minister from 2014 to 2016.
The position became vacant after October 2, when the parliament passed a bill to prevent its dissolution. The bill was designed by the Republican Party of Armenia and endorsed by the Prosperous Armenia and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation/Dashnaktsutyun.
In response Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sacked several Cabinet ministers and governors affiliated with the Prosperous Armenia Party and the ARF Dashnaktsutyun. --0--
