YEREVAN, June 6. /ARKA/. Malta’s national will do its best to take points away from the Armenian team in the qualifying game of the 2014 World Cup, Maltese coach Pietro Ghedin said at a press conference Thursday. The qualifying will be held at Republican Stadium in Yerevan Friday.

“We came to Yerevan not as tourists”, Ghedin said adding they will be happy if they get even one point.

The coach said his team fights in all matches and always strives for victory.

According to Ghedin, Armenian team is one of the strongest in the group.

“There are five-six excellent footballers in the team, who play in high-class clubs. We are careful of any of the Armenian team players”, Ghedin said.

The Maltese coach also said that four legionnaires were unable to come to Yerevan.

Yet, the team has players able to replace them, Ghedin said.

Armenia is in Group B with Italy, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Malta. The current leader in the group is Italy, followed by Bulgarians, the Czechs, Danes, Armenians and the Maltese. -0-
