Nearly 900 million drams will be allocated for the Tour of Armenia international cycling race
YEREVAN, August 20. /ARКА/. The Armenian government has earmarked 884 million drams for the Tour of Armenia international cycling race, which will take place on September 10-13, according to Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan.
She told a government meeting on Thursday that the total length of the competition route will be about 600 km.
On the first day, September 10, participants will cover 135 km along the Gavar-Mets Masrik route. The second stage will be along the 177 km Kirants-Stepanavan route. On the third day, cyclists will ride 162 km along the Martuni-Dilijan route, with a stop at Lake Parz. The final stage will take place in Yerevan, where participants will cover 113 km.
As Andreasyan noted, athletes from Armenia, Japan, Italy, Kazakhstan, the United Kingdom, Thailand, Poland, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Germany are expected to participate.-0-
