Two other Armenian sportsmen have won access to the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
YEREVAN, July 8. /ARKA/. Two other Armenian sportsmen have won access to the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
In particular, they are Hovhannes Bachkov (64 kilograms), a member of Armenia’s national team of boxers, who after beating Ukraine’s Vladimir Matviychuk in the qualifying round in Venezuela joined four other boxers who will represent Armenia in the Olympic Games, and athlete Gor Nerkararyan, who showed a 8.15 m result in Ukraine and joined other five athletes – Amalia Sharoyan (long jumper), Levon Aghasyan (triple jumper), Gayane Chiloyan (runner), Diana Khubeseryan (runner) and Lilit Harutyunyan (steeplechase).
It is already known that 31 sportspeople will represent Armenia in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro from August 5 to 21. --0---
