Armenian winners of Russian quiz visit Moscow and St. Petersburg

Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom organized a tour of Skolkovo technology park and Zaryadie nature-landscape park in Moscow, for Haikaz Melkumyan, a student of the Armenian State Economic University, and Hovhannes Sisoyan, a student of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, the winners of "The Smartest" quiz.

YEREVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom organized a tour of Skolkovo technology park and Zaryadie nature-landscape park in Moscow, for Haikaz Melkumyan, a student of the Armenian State Economic University, and Hovhannes Sisoyan, a student of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, the winners of "The Smartest" quiz.
"In the modern world knowledge has become the highest value. Young Armenians understand perfectly that a quality education will help them make brilliant careers, become key to a successful life. Education has gone beyond schools and universities," Rosatom said in a press release.
This was the Armenian students’ first visit to Russia, where they visited also TVEL company in the city of Elektrostal (Moscow region), where nuclear fuel is produced for nuclear power plants, nuclear icebreakers and submarines.
Melkumyan and Sisoyan also visited the Power Machines Plant, where they were able to see the process of assembling transformers for nuclear power plants from scratch.
Melkumyan noted that during a few days they drove thousands of kilometers and met many interesting people.
‘It was very interesting to look at the ancient temples of the Moscow Kremlin and the beauty of St. Petersburg, but it was especially valuable for me to learn how theoretical knowledge is applied in practice, "he said. -0-
