One of Armenia's scientific centers switches to green energy (video)

YEREVAN, October 31. /ARКА/. The Research Institute of Mathematical Machines, operating in Yerevan since 1956, has switched to renewable energy sources.

As a result of cooperation with Acba Leasing, more than 300 solar panels have been installed on the roof of the institute this year, which will save 14 million drams per year, the press service of Acba Bank reported.

"We have an agreement with Acba Leasing, and we have installed solar panels with a capacity of more than 150 kWh, the use of which is very important for us. First of all, we cover our electricity costs, and we sell the surplus to the Electric Networks of Armenia," said Samvel Amirkhanyan, deputy director of the Yerevan Research Institute of Mathematical Machines.

In the future, there will be a museum on the territory of the institute, where technological achievements over several years will be presented, as well as the people who took part in this and created the basis for the development of the industry.

Acba Bank is a 100% shareholder of Akba Leasing.
