Armenia among 25 most popular destinations for Russian travelers in 2018

YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. TourStat analysis agency has issued a ranking of the countries of Russia’s outbound tourism for the first quarter 2018. 

The number of trips from Russia to Armenia stood at 79,000– 22% more than at the same period a year earlier. 

The most popular destinations in the 1st Q 2018 ranking were Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey.

Armenia came 22nd in the ranking.

Top ten destinations were Abkhazia, Finland, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Ukraine, China, Estonia, the United Arab Emirates, Germany and Poland. 

The number of trips from Russia grew 12% in the first quarter 2018 to 75 million against 40 million in the same period a year before.
