"Azimut" increases the number of flights between Mineralnye Vody and Yerevan

The issues of diversifying the Armenian economy and attracting foreign investment were discussed yesterday by Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan and Spanish Ambassador to Armenia Ricardo Martinez Vazquez.

The launch of a direct flight between Armenia and Marseille, as well as cooperation in the tourism sector, were discussed at a meeting between the head of the Tourism Committee of the RA Ministry of Economy Lusine Gevorgyan and representatives of the Marseille City Hall.

Given the current fluidity in international politics, one might ponder whether Armenia can realistically anticipate a successful resolution to the visa liberalization discussion. As it stands, Europe seems to be leaning towards bolstering its borders and tightening control measures, which does not bode well for ordinary tourists from outside.

Yerevan is in the top 10 cities outside the Russian Federation to which Russian companies send their employees for the May holidays, the OneTwoTrip service reports.

In January-March 2025, 386,741 tourists visited Armenia compared to 434,425 people in the same period of 2024 (a 10.97% decline over the year), the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia reported.

Armenia and Greece are discussing the development of a new joint tourism product.
