Armenian tourists not affected by terrorist acts
YEREVAN, August 22. /ARKA/. Attacks against tourists in some countries do not seem to have affected the number of Armenians wishing to spend their vacations in these very countries, Marina Avetisyan, an expert in tourism, told a news conference today. As an example, she mentioned Egyptian Hurgada, where two German tourists were killed in July by an Egyptian man and several others, including two women from Armenia, were wounded . According to Ms. Avetisyan,  despite it the number of Armenians planning to visit this country has increased.

The same is true about Spain. The terrorist attack against tourists in Barcelona has not scared Armenians away , and the number of Armenian tourists wishing to visit that has also increased, although the prices for air tickets have not dropped.

"When a terrorist act is committed in a country, where we have our tourists, we work to get in touch with them and direct them to Armenian embassies and consulates,"  said Avetisyan.

In his turn, psychologist Samvel Khudoyan, said many tourists are sure that if a terrorist act has already occurred in a country, it will not happen there again. "People think  if a terrorist act  has already happened  in Spain, in the near future it will not repeat , which is why the flow of tourists to Spain  has not decreased," Khudoyan said. -0-
