YEREVAN, June 4. /ARKA/. A record number of tourists visited Armenia in January-May 2026 – 825,384 people, the RA Tourism Committee reported.
Compared to the same period in 2025, when 691,882 tourist visits were recorded, the figure increased by 19.3%.
A record result was also recorded in May: the number of tourist visits to Armenia amounted to 199,541, compared to 181,436 in May 2025, an increase of approximately 10%.
The Tourism Committee noted that the increase in figures indicates increased interest in Armenia and its growing attractiveness as a tourist destination, and is also due to the launch of new direct flights.

The head of the RA Tourism Committee, Lusine Gevorgyan, stated that over the next five years, the country is expected to welcome at least 3 million tourists annually, equivalent to the number of people living in Armenia. This number could reach 5 million within 10 years.
