Armenian serviceman killed by avalanche

One of the five contract servicemen of the Armenian Armed Forces, who were caught in an avalanche yesterday at about 17:30 in the southern Armenian province of Syunik near a military unit, was found dead today.

Upper Lars border crossing reopens for passenger cars

The Upper Lars border crossing on Georgia’s border with Russia was reopened for passenger cars at 5 pm local time, Armenian ministry of emergencies said reminding that the road had been earlier closed to all types of vehicles due to an avalanche.
