Ex-finance minister calls Armenia's draft state budget for 2024 'impressive', but points to capex risks

In an interview with Novosti Armenia news agency Armenia's former finance minister Vardan Aramyan said at first glance capital expenditure, GDP growth and projected tax-to-GDP ratio indicators earmarked by the government in its draft budget for 2024 seem to be impressive and ambitious and the budget deficit manageable.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan told parliament members today that his government will work to improve the efficiency of execution of 350 billion drams worth capital expenditure, earmarked for 2022, a 60% rise as opposed to 2021.
