YEREVAN, November 22. /ARKA/. The Public Service Regulatory Commission of Armenia decided Wednesday to fine Veolia Jur, a subsidiary of France’s Veolia Generale des Eaux that is the sole water distributor in Armenia, the regulator reports.
The company has to pay AMD 10 million (USD 20,600).
Veolia Jur has failed to connect customers to the water supply system in due time in a clear breach of the law.
The company, responding to the claim, said that these connection delays were due to illegal connections to the water-supplying systems and the necessity of additional examination.
The company can dispute the regulator’s decision within two months. -0---
