Rio Grande marks 10th anniversary with new brands

Raffael Contini Trading Company presented Wednesday in Yerevan a new coffee brand Classic Arabika as well as a number of cereals. The presentation was part of an event marking the 10th anniversary of the company.
YEREVAN, March 15. /ARKA/. Raffael Contini Trading Company presented Wednesday in Yerevan a new coffee brand Classic Arabika as well as a number of cereals. The presentation was part of an event marking the 10th anniversary of the company.
The founder of the company, Raffi Mekhchian, who also is head of the Union of Armenian Exporters, told reporters that the company's products were originally meant for export, but over time it decided to also win the Armenian market.
"From the beginning our main goal was to offer products that will meet all the expectations of consumers. That is why in the case of Rio Grande all our efforts are focused on providing high quality," he said.
Head of the Union of Armenian Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Arsen Ghazarian said Raffael Contini Trading Company differs from other companies by its ability to work under conditions of fair competition. He said the company has introduced new business culture in Armenia which many local companies still lack.
During the event, Raffi Mekhchian was awarded the Gold Medal of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in recognition of his contribution to economic development and introduction of a new business culture in Armenia.
The event was attended by deputy economy minister Tigran Harutyunyan, charge d'affaires of Lebanon in Armenia, Ziad Attalos, politicians, and businessmen.
Raffael Contini Trading Company is an Armenian-Lebanese joint venture, which started operating in 1998. The company produces and sells high-quality black ground coffee Rio Grande. -0-
