The government of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has approved a set of agricultural projects and measures that will be implemented this year on government funds.
STEPANAKERT, February 16, /ARKA/. The government of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) has approved a set of agricultural projects and measures that will be implemented this year on government funds.
A press release by NKR government press office said some of the projects are designed to address plant protection issues, veterinary and sanitary services, consulting and artificial cattle insemination. The government has earmarked funds for subsidizing production of fertilizers, seeds, maize, purchase of new machinery, installment of anti-hail stations and so on
During the government session prime minister Ara Harutyunian asked agriculture minister to look into the restoration of a cattle breeding farm owned previously by a collective farm in the village of Chartar in Martuni district. The prime minister said restoration of the farm will allow to raise production of milk and dairy products. He told the minister to recruit also seasoned experts from Armenia to help boost high quality seed production. -0-
