The last open fair of agricultural products will take place on the upcoming weekend in Yerevan, said Deputy Agriculture Minister of Armenia Samvel Galstyan to the journalists.
YEREVAN, November 9. /ARKA/. The last open fair of agricultural products will take place on the upcoming weekend in Yerevan, said Deputy Agriculture Minister of Armenia Samvel Galstyan to the journalists.
The first fair opened on August 21 in Arabkir district of Yerevan, next to Kasyan street. Its peculiarity was that among the sellers there were no re-sellers. The right to sell products had only the farmer-producers from different regions of Armenia. Places, scales, carriages and special uniform at the fair was provided free-of-charge.
“The season is coming to an end and due to cold weather the open fair will finish its fruitful activity this year which satisfied the demands of the citizens of Yerevan and the farmers, representing their products in the fair”, said Galstyan.
The Ministry negotiates with Yerevan Municipality on opening such trade points in other administrative districts next year.
“In organization of the fair we had some difficulties and problems, but after elimination of discrepancies people was satisfied by the quality and prices of agricultural products represented in the fair”, he said.
About 40 types of agricultural products of 200 farms of the country, including vegetables, fruits, berries, honey and other products were sold in the fair.
The fair of agricultural products is organized in Armenia by the instruction of the President of Armenia and with the support of the company VivaCell-MTS for he provision of accessibility of agricultural products for the consumers. -0-
