Armenia saw 3.7 percent inflation in 2015

Armenian consumer prices in 2015 rose by 3.7% from the year earlier, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today. It said food prices rose by 3%, non-food products rose by 5.6% and services by 3%.
YEREVAN, January 14. / ARKA /. Armenian consumer prices in 2015 rose by 3.7% from the year earlier, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today. It said food prices rose by 3%, non-food products rose by 5.6% and services by 3%.
Consumer price index in December 2015 was 99.9% when compared to December 2014. The index of prices for foodstuff (including alcoholic beverages and cigarettes) was 96.3%, that of non-foods was 103.4%% and that of services - 103.2%
At the same time, in 2015 December the consumer market recorded at 1.7% rise form November, caused by a 3% rise in the prices of foods. The government’s projection of inflation for 2015 is (± 1.5%).
