Downtime at Zangezur combine will affect country's economic indicators - Armenian Economy Minister

A group of ZCMC employees have been on strike since February 1, demanding higher wages and better working conditions.
“The downtime will obviously affect the economic indicators and tax collection rate, which in turn may lead to social problems. The ideal option for us would be to resume operation of the combine as soon as possible,” the minister said at a press briefing.
Papoyan said that the issue is in the competence of the trade union and the management of the combine.
“All over the world, the issues of wages and working conditions are solved through strong trade unions, as well as within the framework of legislation. The task of the state is to create conditions for trade unions and organizations to protect their interests and as a result of negotiations - to come to some solutions,” Papoyan stressed.-0-
