On Tuesday, the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia, Mesrop Mesropyan, discussed tariff policy and energy market development in Armenia with representatives and an expert from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
YEREVAN, July 14. /ARKA/. On Tuesday, the head of the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia, Mesrop Mesropyan, discussed tariff policy and energy market development in Armenia with representatives and an expert from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
According to the regulator's press service, the parties reviewed tariff formation mechanisms and the current regulatory methodology in the electricity, gas, water, telecommunications, and other regulated sectors.
The approval procedure for investment programs, their evaluation criteria, and the impact of investments on tariffs were also discussed.
Special attention was paid to the electricity market model, the development of competition, and further improvement of the sector.
