Industrial output in Armenia in January-February drops by 19.4% to 380.5 billion drams

YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. Armenia's industrial output in January 2025 stood at 380,486.7 million drams (in current prices), down 19.4% compared to January 2024 and 41.3% compared to December 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee.
Meanwhile, the industrial output in February alone stood at 189,939.7 million drams, a decline of 26.6% against February 2024 and 0.6% decline against January 2025.
The output in the mining industry and open pit operation mounted to AMD 58,545.4 million (a 19.2% decline compared to January-February 2024), and in the manufacturing industry to AMD 243,163.2 million (a 26.2% decline).
The supply of electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air amounted to AMD 74,034.9 million (up by 10.7%), while the water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling sector amounted to AMD 31,501.6 million (up by 0.3%).
The largest share of the industrial output in January-February 2025 was contributed by the manufacturing industry - 63.9%. Electricity, gas, steam and purified air supply accounted for 19.5%, mining and open pit operations contributed 5.4%, and water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling - 1.2%.
