YEREVAN, May 27. /ARKA/. Armenia is fulfilling its obligations within the EAEU, and no regulations that contradict union law have been identified at this time, stated Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk.

According to him, Russia is constantly monitoring the regulations of EAEU countries, including Armenia, for their compliance with union law.

According to TASS, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister stated that Armenia is fulfilling its obligations within the EAEU because, in his words, it understands the benefits of participating in the union and is "in no hurry to leave now." However, Overchuk noted that Yerevan's declared political course contradicts the EAEU's core goals.

Overchuk pointed out that the political course announced by the Armenian authorities could lead to a decline in living standards, a decline in the economy and production, and an increase in energy prices.

In the event of Armenia's possible withdrawal from the EAEU, Overchuk believes it would be fair to raise the issue of maintaining the preferences it has been granted.

"If they want to be like Europe, then their prices should be like Europe's," he said.

Overchuk also noted that no EAEU country would want Armenia to leave the union.

"We are sending certain signals. And these signals are very serious," the Russian Deputy Prime Minister stated.

He added that it is necessary to analyze the consequences of Armenia's possible withdrawal from the EAEU for everyone.
