YEREVAN, December 17. /ARКА/. During a meeting on Wednesday, the Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia sanctioned Gazprom Armenia CJSC's investment plan, amounting to approximately 150.35 billion drams (excluding VAT) for the years 2026 to 2030.

The investment program primarily focuses on several key areas, including the expansion of the Abovyan underground gas storage facility (20.36 billion drams), the enhancement, restoration, and reconstruction of the gas transmission network (50.36 billion drams), additional work within the gas transmission system (over 7.5 billion drams), connecting new subscribers (nearly 4.8 billion drams), as well as various tasks in the gas distribution network (around 59.4 billion drams), and the provision of new capacity in the Yerevan gas supply system (3.56 billion drams).

Gazprom-Armenia CJSC operates as a fully owned subsidiary of the Russian holding company Gazprom and serves as the exclusive supplier of natural gas from Russia to Armenia for domestic use. Gas is transported through Georgia, with the cost of Russian gas at the border set at $165 per 1,000 cubic meters.

Additionally, the company is responsible for gas transportation within Armenia, including storage, distribution, and sales, as well as the reconstruction and expansion of the gas transportation infrastructure and underground gas storage facilities.-0-
