YEREVAN, November 7. /ARKA/. The head of Armenia’s State Revenue Committee Vardan Harutyunyan told reporters on Monday that he was determined to fight the "shadow" economy and the oligarchs.

"I will fight the "shadow’ economy and the oligarchs. Each head of SRC department was ordered to conduct an inventory on their sites to estimate the size of “shadow" and report to me. Then the struggle will begin. The guarantee of the fight is me. Trust me and demand accountability," - Harutyunyan said.

He said that new importers have already emerged who have imported one or two tanks of diesel fuel and bananas facing no obstacles from tax and customs authorities.

Vardan Harutyunyan was appointed chief of the State Revenue Committee on October 8. Before that he served as CEO of Gazprom Armenia national gas distribution company, the subsidiary of Russian Gazprom.-0-
