YEREVAN, June 28, /ARKA/. Foreign ministers of Armenia and Malta Zohrab Mnatsakanyan and Carmelo Abela expressed dissatisfaction with the level of trade turnover between the countries.
Speaking at a joint press briefing on June 27 in Yerevan Mnatsakanyan said the trade turnover between the countries is not very impressive, ‘but at the same time, we were able to identify many different areas of cooperation that are of interest to both sides.”
According to him, he meant high-tech sectors, in which Malta has also recorded significant achievements. The Maltese Minister agreed with his Armenian counterpart. “I unequivocally agree with what has been said about our trade. Naturally, it is not impressive. We must work together to open opportunities for our business communities that are responsible for different areas,” he said.
In this context, Mnatsakanyan expressed hope that at least during the peak seasons between Malta and Armenia, direct air communication will be established. -0-
