Armenian-Iranian relationships last year saw an increased number of reciprocal visits, Armenian ministry of foreign affairs says in a performance report for 2010.
YEREVAN, January 17, /ARKA/. Armenian-Iranian relationships last year saw an increased number of reciprocal visits, Armenian ministry of foreign affairs says in a performance report for 2010.

‘From the perspective of Armenian-Iranian relations and cooperation the period of time under review saw a substantially increased number of reciprocal visits and contacts between various government agencies of both countries. Armenian defense, education and science, energy and natural resources ministers visited Tehran in 2010,’ the report says.

The reports singles out prime minister Tigran Sarkisian’s visit to Tehran last October 25-26 and a visit to Yerevan by the head of Iranian parliament Ali Larijani on October 8-10.

The report praises also the work of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation that convened for the 9-th meeting in Yerevan last year’s January. It also mentions a visit to Tehran by Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian September 15-16.  -0-
