Norway supports peaceful solution to regional conflicts: FM

"Norway supports any initiative aimed at peaceful resolution of regional conflicts," he said.

He said regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict his country supports the OSCE Minsk Group and the efforts of international community aimed at reaching a peaceful solution to the problem.

Asked whether Norway is not afraid that large Norwegian investments in Azerbaijan could be used to purchase weapons, Store said the Norwegian Government expects any company operating abroad not only to comply with laws and regulations of the country in whose territory it operates, but also with international standards. "

"Norway has long-term and good diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan. Our oil companies are working there. I do not have any doubt that Norwegian oil companies operate in Azerbaijan in accordance with international standards, " he said. -0-
