Armenian deputy fm discusses Armenian-Japanese cooperation in Tokyo

RA Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Baiburdyan discussed issues of Armenian-Japanese cooperation in Tokyo.
YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. RA Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Baiburdyan discussed issues of Armenian-Japanese cooperation in Tokyo.

The RA Deputy Foreign Minister was on a visit to Tokyo on October 29-November 4 under the program “Assisting cooperation in 21st century”.

During his visit, Baiburdyan and his Japanese counterpart Koike Masakatsu discussed issues of Armenian-Japanese political, economic and cultural cooperation.

Baibursyan also held meetings with Vice-President of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Jeda Joshighiza, and Chairman of the Armenian-Japanese Association Sumio Jedamura (first Japanese Ambassador to Armenia).

During the visit Baiburdyan participated in Armenian-Japanese consultations with Director General of the Directorate for European Affairs, Japanese Foreign Office, Chikakhito Kharada.
The participants discussed issues of Armenian-Japanese cooperation within international organizations, retraining of Armenian specialists under JICA-funded programs, and Japanese experts’ activities in Armenia, as well as further implementation of the Japanese Government’s grant programs in Armenia.

At Japan’s Institute of International Relations, the RA Deputy Foreign Minister delivered a lecture on Armenia’s foreign policy in the context of challenges facing small states. –0--
