42 armenian citizens restored to their voting right
YEREVAN, February 19. /ARKA/. Alina Yengoyan, press secretary of Armenian Court of Cassation, told ARKA News Agency that 62 citizens have submitted claims to Armenian courts over the period between 8:00 and 18:00 local time for being restored to their voting right.
According to the information, 42 of these claims were sustained, 15 declined, four suspended and one is under consideration now.
Yengoyan said 31 complaints were filed in Lori province (all of them were sustained), one in Syunik (declined), 14 in Yerevan’s Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun (12 of them were declined and two sustained), one in Achapnyak and Davitashen (declined), six in Avan and Nor-Nork (all sustained), three in Kentron and Nork-Marash (two sustained and one under consideration), five in Erebuni and Nubarashen (four suspended because of claim withdrawal and one suspended).
The press secretary said that no complaints on election disputes have been sent to Administrative Court by 18:00.
Yengoyan said that the claims were declined mainly because of improper submission.
This Tuesday is polling day in Armenian presidential election.
Nine candidates are racing for presidency.
All the polling stations of the country are open from 8:00 to 20:00. -0---
