YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. The Secretary of Armenia's Security Council Armen Grigoryan met with members of NATO's Deputy Permanent Representatives Committee (DPRC) during his working visit to Brussels on Monday, the Security Council's press service reported.

It said Grigoryan presented the security situation around Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the humanitarian crisis resulting in Nagorno-Karabakh from its blockade by Azerbaijan, which is fraught with ethnic cleansing.

Grigoryan called on the international community to respond to Azerbaijan's policy and prevent the ethnic cleansing from happening.

The Secretary of the Security Council also presented details of the recent Armenian-Azerbaijani talks in Washington and Brussels.

He attached importance to the commitment of the Armenian side to normalization of relations with Turkey without preconditions. Grigoryan also touched upon the Armenia-NATO bilateral partnership.

Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov had talks in Washington on May 1-4 and discussed normalization of relations. The talks were facilitated by U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

On May 14, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, European Council President Charles Michel and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a trilateral meeting in Brussels. They discussed the reopening of regional transport and economic infrastructure, border delimitation and security, the settlement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the rights and security of the population of Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as other humanitarian issues. -0-
